Nails

Sometimes pets just need nail service, I can help with that.  If adding on a pet to an existing grooming appointment, $25/pet will be applied for each additional pet that needs nail service.  If we come out for just nails service on your pet, $125/household up to three pets.

 

Tooth Brushing

To maintain good oral hygiene, regular tooth brushing service combined with regular veterinary dental care will help protect your pet against a wide range of dental concerns. Please note that tooth brushing alone will not remove tartar and plaque.  I can add toothbrushing onto your grooming appointment, $15/pet.  If I come out for just tooth brushing service on your pet, $105/household up to two pets.

 

Parasites

KM Curbside Grooming will not tolerate pets with parasites including but not limited to fleas, ticks, lice, and larvae.  Pets known to have parasites before their appointment need to see their veterinarian for prevention.  In addition, the house and yard need to be treated regularly to effectively rid pets of parasites.  In an effort to maintain the highest cleanliness and not pass parasites from one pet to the next, pets found with parasites whether living or dead will be subject to parasite removal.  Additional charges will apply, $35/pet.  

 

Dematt

Sometimes pets are subject to various levels of knots, tangles and matting.  To check for matts, run a fine tooth metal comb through your pets hair from the skin to the ends of the hair.  if the comb passes cleanly, your pet is most likely matt free.  If the comb catches or snags and does not pass cleanly, you have knots, tangles and matting.  If matting is minor,  I may attempt to dematt your pet. This would be subject to a dematt fee as it takes longer to get the coat off and we have to work much slower to ensure I maintain high safety standards.   However if at any point in time it becomes unsafe for the dog or groomer, I will stop.  Dematting is at groomer discretion only.  KM Curbside Grooming will always choose humanity over vanity.  In the event your pet is heavily matted, you will have two options available:

1) Reschedule your grooming appointment; you need to brush and comb your pet thoroughly prior to the new appointment.  A fine tooth comb must be able to pass cleanly through ALL parts of your pet. At a minimum, the trip fee will still be due if your groom is cancelled due to matting upon the groomers arrival or any point during the groom.

2) Request a shave down and start over at an adjusted cost.

 

Please note, pets with knots, tangles and matts often have irritation, scrapes, nicks, bruising, and skin sores underneath the matts you may not be aware of.  

 

Hand Scissoring

Hand Scissoring is a refined skill that takes years of practice and patience to perfect.  As such, any hand scissoring on a dog does take additional time and charges will apply accordingly.  

 

Trip Fee

If I come out for a stand alone service such as nails, toothbrushing, or a brush out; at a minimum a trip fee is assessed.
